Since the first night anyone looked up

Own a Piece
of the Moon

A symbolic acre in the Sea of Serenity. A certificate worthy of framing. A laser-etched lunar map on powder-coated aluminum, made to hang beside the window you'll look up from.

July 1969. Every screen in the world pointed at the sky.

The Story

We've always
looked up.

Before we had rockets, we had rooftops. Grandparents who pulled kitchen chairs into the yard. A flickering television in July of 1969, and the whole street holding its breath. A first telescope on a cold driveway, pointed at the only landmark every human being has ever shared.

The Moon is the family heirloom of the entire species — and somehow, none of us owns a single square foot of it.

LunarLots exists for exactly that feeling. A symbolic acre with your name on it, mapped, registered, and rendered beautiful enough to hang above the mantel. Not a legal claim — a love letter. The kind of gift that makes someone walk outside and look up.

Questions

Honest Answers

Do I legally own land on the Moon?

No — and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling moonshine. Under the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, no nation or person can own celestial territory. A LunarLots parcel is a symbolic, novelty registration: a beautiful way to celebrate a lifelong love of the Moon. That honesty is printed right on the certificate.

What arrives, and in which format?

Every acre includes your Certificate of Lunar Registration and personal plot map. Choose Digital and everything arrives in your inbox as watermark-free, print-ready files. Choose Archival Print and we ship a museum-grade giclée of your region map with the sealed certificate suite and keepsake coin. Choose Aluminum and your map is laser-etched into 18″×24″ blue powder-coated aluminum with brushed stainless floating mounts.

Why are the maps on this site watermarked?

The charts you browse here are previews. The moment you claim an acre, your download, print, or etched panel is produced from the clean master — no watermark, full resolution, suitable for framing or gifting.

How are my coordinates assigned?

Each region is charted into sectors and one-acre parcels in the LunarLots registry. When you order, the next available acre in your chosen region is assigned to your name with its lunar latitude and longitude, and never reissued.

Tell me about the aluminum map.

Aircraft-grade 5052 aluminum, oven-cured midnight-blue powder coat, and laser-etched cartography — craters, contours, legend, coordinates, and your parcel marked in bright etch. It hangs on included stainless standoffs and weighs under four pounds.

How long until my order arrives?

Digital orders land in your inbox within minutes. Archival prints ship in 3–5 business days. The aluminum wall map is etched and powder-coated to order — allow up to 10 business days before it ships, then standard transit time to your door. Ordering for a holiday or a big date? Check the seasonal cutoff we post at checkout, and we'll email you the moment your order leaves the workshop.

What if it arrives damaged?

Photograph the damage and write us within 30 days — we replace certificates, prints, and etched panels free of charge. The Moon has enough craters already.
